《I Want To Know What Love Is 》这首老情歌曾在英美流行歌曲徘行榜Top1O之内停留了很长时间，引众人翻唱，包括玛利亚·凯莉，其原唱是Forigner（“外国佬”）组合，“外国佬”乐队成立于1976年，原始成员一共有六位，他们之所以这样命名自己的乐队，是因为团员中英籍和美籍各占一半。

电影剧情

　　1987年的洛杉矶，各种各样的摇滚乐队和歌手如同雨后春笋一样的遍地开花，就在这个梦想 摇滚年代海报的城市里，有两个从外地赶来寻梦，但是现在却只能在酒吧里做[1]男女招待的年轻人。
　　那个女孩叫做谢丽·克里斯蒂安，那个男孩叫做德鲁·波利。他们怀揣着梦想，在洛杉矶这个大都市里做了飘在洛杉矶的人。他们相亲相爱，他们共同奋斗。虽然洛杉矶里明星很多，不过，他们对歌唱和摇滚的热爱，还是让他们从芸芸众生中脱颖而出。很快，他们得到了演出的机会，有成为巨星的可能。而与此同时，他们的爱情也接受了挑战。
